I bought this to replace an Eclipse AV8132 that recently got destroyed. This unit is much more intuitive and easy to use, far more versatile with the number of inputs and seems to be a much higher quality product to boot. Everything is set up to be as easy to use as possible. Flash memory and iPod control are plug-and-play. It simply couldn't be any easier! The only reason this got 4 stars rather than 5 is because it only has 2 sets of outputs. At first I couldn't decide between this model or the AVH 5100 but once I fired up the 5000 all doubts went away. Sound is crystal clear and it's extrememly user friendly. I routed the USB and the I-Pod interface thru my glove compartment and I also bought the XM-Radio Tuner which performs flawlessly with this system because it's Satellite Ready. DVD player works excellent also.
