Couldn't be happier with the sound: I'm surprised at the bass, the vocals come in clear and the highs sparkle. I was intending to add tweeters and subwoofer, but now I'm re-thinking the tweeters - they might add too much to the treble. As the speakers are located near my knees, I really didn't think they would sound as good as they do in the high range, highs tend to be very directional which is why I almost bought higher priced component speakers in the first place: they allow you to position the tweeter in a different location from the woofer for the best possible sound imaging. The price was great, the sound is great. Anyway, I'm impressed. I had owned pioneer speakers back in the 80's when back in my a teen age years,and loved them. But so many new names in speakers have come out since then, i didn't know Feel like i'm 16 again. LOL |
